Christmas Songs - The Favourites

Now, it only seems right that I shall be listening to Christmas songs whilst writing this post. I need to keep in theme of the title of this post.

I do have a confession to make - I started listening to Christmas songs last month! As I do every year, I just couldn't hang on until December to listen to The Pogues or Wizzard. You can't tell me that you haven't resisted the temptation to grab your headphones, download the Christmas Spotify playlist on your phone and sing like you are your local town's Mariah Carey?!

I know I have.

We can't deny that listening to Christmas songs makes us happy and puts a smile on our faces. Since I've had my new car, I have a lot more variety of radio stations to listen to now. I've recently discovered that Magic radio literally dedicate the whole of December to Christmas music. It is now my go to radio station as soon as I set off in the car. I'll need it especially when I go to work and I need something to lift my spirits.

I think most of our first memories of Christmas is singing 'Away in a Manger' or 'Little Donkey' in the Nativity school concert in primary school. I was never Mary, I was always the angel singing my lungs out in the back ground. With a long white gown on with tinsel round my head for a headband, myself and the other angels were sure to stand out and look, well, angelic.

Ok, so the title of this post refers to what my favourite Christmas songs, well, everyone's for that matter. I know there are a few Scrooges out there who don't like Christmas songs and are fed up of hearing them all the time. I got something to say to you Scrooges - what do you expect, it's bloody Christmas!

Here are some Christmas songs that I and sure plenty of others enjoy (in no particular order):

1) Bing Crosby - White Christmas
2) Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You
3) Wizzard - I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday
