Most Liked, Retweeted & Viewed - September 2018

Ok, September hasn't been an entirely super-duper month for me personally. I lost my cat at the beginning of the month and she still hasn't been found. My little fur baby Lily has been missing for weeks now and there's no clue into where she has disappeared to. It's incredibly sad and I miss her like crazy. Hopefully she'll turn up on my doorstep soon.

Right, let's get onto happier things before I shut the lid on my laptop and go away to cry. I ordered a new car! Very exciting and I cannot wait to get behind the steering wheel of a Kia Rio! I've always had Vauxhall cars so it's a well needed change. But can't fault Vauxhall cars, I've two good cars with them.

Before I turn this post into a Top Gear special, let's get back to the matter at hand. Ok, social media news - my engagement has been pretty good! Instagram has really improved near the end of this month and I am beyond chuffed with that. If only my follower count would increase...

Twitter-verse has been full of retweeted blog posts and search appeals for my cat. Well, it needed to be done. Social media is a powerful thing in regards to finding your missing pets.

Anyway, let's see my social media stats for this month! My most popular tweet of September is not surprising:

TWITTER
Top Tweet:

Of course my little Lily was plastered all over social media in the vain hope someone would have seen her and told me. But to no avail. *sigh*

Top Media Tweet:

I usually just my £3 back if I get the Thunderball. I haven't won £20 on it for a long time! What did I spend it on I hear you ask?! I honestly can't remember. Knowing me it was most probably petrol. I must have had my sensible head on that day.

INSTAGRAM
Most Liked:

I loved wearing this jumpsuit. It's not something I would normally wear because, well, put it this way, if I had sneezed or coughed my boobs would have been on display for all at Pier Head in Liverpool to see. I want to be able to go back to Liverpool again before the end of the year so I'm glad that didn't happen.

Personal Favourite:
This photo makes me happy because I look extremely happy in it. I still have no idea what I was laughing at. Like I've said many times before, Liverpool is my happy place and it always will be. Maybe I can squeeze in one more trip before the end of the year? We shall see...

I hope October is a better month than September. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will be!

Blog Reads of September

This post really caught my eye, for good reasons, well, in a way. Honestly Meg, its a great post! But it's so sad that you had to write about blogging toxicity as unfortunately it does exist in the blogging world and it's been at it's worst for the last few weeks. From copying blog posts (don't ever do that) to the follow/unfollow game, it's such a shame that other blogger's have taken it upon themselves to behave this way, it really isn't on! Well done Meg for saying what everyone else has been thinking!

Thanks to Amie this post has me incredibly excited for Autumn! I love this season. The thoughts that Amie has written are bang on. I love fireworks night, cwtching up in a blanket with a cuppa in one hand and the TV remote in the other. Also the sight of leaves falling from the trees is just amazing. How can you not like Autumn?! If you're still unsure, then read Amie's post. I guarantee you'll be convinced that Autumn is just bloody great as I am!

I'm a firm believer in fate. "Everything happens for a reason" and "What's meant to be will always find a way". Like Sinead, in school I dreamt of meeting that perfect man, well, he had to drive a Lamborghini and be obscenely rich like Christian Grey. But daydreaming aside, maybe there is a perfect person out there for everyone. But I think Sinead is right, it's up to ME to choose the right one. Maybe I should look closer to home for the perfect man rather than daydreaming about someone I have no chance with. Hmm...
But seriously though, this post Sinead has written really gets you thinking and I loved reading it.

Why is there a pressure in society for us to reach certain milestones and points in our lives? Charlotte says it's just best to muddle through and let things happen naturally. I couldn't agree more with her. I don't want to feel pressured by society or by reading stuff online about where I should be in my life. I am happy to take things at my own pace and not be told where I should be. Like Charlotte, if I don't push myself and go for it, I'm a failure. I'm not going to let myself or anyone else for that matter think like that. A great post from Charlotte.

I am the biggest procrastinator I know. I need a rocket up my arse on some days to get me to tick off stuff on my ever-growing to-do list. I am one to put it off until the last millisecond before I do the task in hand. But Em gives some great ways to get your backside in gear and get those jobs done. I especially loved the one where you prioritise your tasks in terms what needs doing the soonest then leave the least urgent task until last. It is all about being productive. On a good day, I am productive as the next blogger, but some days I need lots of motivation to get me moving!

In answer to this question - abso-bloody-lutely! I'm exactly like Bryony in what I think about £500 Primark hauls - it doesn't interest me. I could go and do that tomorrow if I wanted to (well, my bank account would tell me otherwise) but I don't think many people I know outside of the blogging world would be remotely interested in a video like that. I prefer influencers in YouTube videos talk about the life issues of today and opening things up for discussion. "There is nothing better than sitting down on a Sunday evening and sinking my eyes into a good old Hannah Gale post" I couldn't agree with you more Bryony! Speaking of which...

7) My post-baby body | Hannah Gale
Seriously Hannah, you are my hero. This post is so real and honest, as she says, she is happy with her body and that's all that bloody matters. Who gives a s**t about what others think?! Hannah has embraced her body and she looks incredible after giving birth, but as she says, she's just grown another human being inside her, that trumps everything. Hannah, you're amazing. A true inspo.

Just as I thought I had wrapped up this post and was finally starting to think that I had a little bit of organisational skills in blogging, along came Lauren with this amazing post about the benefits of reading. *Clicks Edit Post button on Blogger". I'm very much like Lauren, I love getting stuck into a good book. I'd read all day, every day if I could. As Lauren says, reading increases your creativity skills and also it is a really good form of escapism. Any form of escapism from my life is a huge bonus. Reading is definitely one of them.

Let me know your favourite blog posts for this month below!

Uh oh - maybe doing some exercise may not have been the best idea -

I'm not even sure if this is medically possible but I currently feel like I want to puke on this treadmill right now. I might risk it and wait until I've completed my full, normal session on here. I only have 10 minutes until I am supposed to get off the treadmill anyway, I think I got this!
I managed to successfully complete my full exercise session! I'm determined to not let this nausea beat me!
This afternoon I have made a trip to B&M Bargains where I happened to bump into my best friend and her gorgeous little boy and I have been to Boots to finally buy something I wish I had bought days ago -
I cannot wait to take one of these in the morning. It certainly says something when you look forward to swallowing a tablet. In my case, that really is surprising considering I take about 20 different medication's a day.
Just before I sign off this entry, I need to mention my outfit for this busy Monday. Just because I have finally worn this jacket -
There we are then. Good day to you all.

P A G E  261
I have some major news for you all this morning - no nausea! Stugeron have worked wonders on my stomach and I can feel a little more relaxed taking my Cipro in the tomorrow morning.
At least I can go on the treadmill this morning without feeling like I'm going to throw up!
I just picked up a parcel from New Look -

I cannot wait to put these on my feet! I won't wear them tomorrow because I got work but I will wear them on the weekend - promise!
I'm sat here this afternoon, pining for it to be 8pm -
Our first Champions League game of the season and I hope we stuff PSG!
*Update - a 3-2 win!
Oh I can go to bed a very happy girl now!

P A G E  262
I've woken up in a great mood this morning, Liverpool winning the night before always puts me in a good mood! Right, let's get up and get ready for work! Is it really only Wednesday?
I've done all my exercise, I've eaten and I'm about to settle down on the settee and take part in a couple of blogger chats. But before I do -

I'm feeling a little chill on my arms, let's get the cardi out!

P A G E  263

I despise going to work when it's peeing down with rain. When it's like this I want to curl with in a blanket with a good book and not venture outside. But unfortunately, needs must, time to get my waterproof coat on and go to work.
My Mam has just said to me "Have you seen Aldi's latest tweet?" (Yeah, not a conversation starter I expected to hear from my mother) -
Oh my word, foot long pigs in blankets, I'm seriously running to my local Aldi's to buy them once they are in stock! Seriously, who doesn't love pigs in blankets?!

P A G E  264

Oh my word it's cold this morning! I want to wear my boots, but I know it's most likely to warm up later. I don't want to have sweaty boots feet! Maybe I'll just stick to my flats. Maybe it's for the best.
Right, it's the fricking weekend! I should be celebrating with a bottle of wine! Oh wait, not quite yet, I still got to take the antibiotics until Tuesday. Not long left now though!

P A G E  265
Uh oh, this wasn't part of the plan -
WHY?! I've just about started to feel better and now this happens! I'm hoping the Cipro will ease the infection away over the coming days. For f**k sake.
One thing that is perked me up a bit is that Liverpool are playing later, well, they'll cheer me up as long as they win!
*Update - a 3-0 win!
6 wins out of 6 in the League is most certainly a brilliant start!
Right, let's settle down for the evening - wait, I forgot!
I cannot wait for Strictly! It's my one of my favourite programmes of the entire year! The glitz and glamour, you can't beat it.
As you can tell, I love a couple of pro dancers. These two are seriously stunning though!

P A G E  266

It's officially Autumn and I am little bit excited about that! I'm kind of looking forward to wearing my jumpers I have just bought, obviously I can't wear them in the Summer. Right, it's Sunday and I am only looking forward to one thing today -
As you can probably tell, I am ecstatic for the Bodyguard tonight. I seriously need to know who killed the Home Secretary because it could be anybody in this programme!
Ok, I bought new nail varnish yesterday in Boots and I have been dying to try it out since, well, 1pm yesterday afternoon. I had a busy day yesterday, ok?!
It's such a lovely Autumnal shade. It says on the bottle that it lasts for two weeks unchipped. Now, my nails aren't the strongest so I hope Rimmel proves me wrong!
See you at 10:15pm!
I haven't moved a muscle in 75 minutes. My Sunday nights are going to be deathly dull after tonight. Ok, so when is series 2 going to air?

Autumn - The clichรฉs

We're officially into Autumn and I am actually looking forward to walking outside in the cooler air and stepping on crunchy leaves, like the big-hearted kid I am.

The tartan scarves, the Pumpkin Spice Latte from Costa and baggy jumpers - let's face it, us as a millennial nation are ready for Autumn.

Before now, I never used to favour the Autumn season. I never saw the hype surrounding it, to me it just meant it was time to dig out my jumpers and coats so they would replace my shorts and crop tops hung up in my wardrobe.

Now, probably since a became a blogger, I have learnt to embrace this season and I have fallen in love with it. Let's face it, it is the most aesthetically pleasing season out of the four.

Here are the Autumn clichรฉs I am wholeheartedly embracing! -

THE  CRUNCHY  LEAVES
I am actually looking forward to walking in my local park for some exercise and seeing all the orange/red/brown leaves scattered all over the grass and path. One sound I do adore listening to is the crunching noise you hear when you stand on dry leaves. Except when they're soggy, then you're lucky if you don't slip whilst walking over them. I know I've done that a couple of times before.

THE  COLOURS
Ok, this doesn't need debating, Autumnal colours are just beautiful, case closed. There's nothing better than watching the leaves change colour from luscious green to a warming orange and red hue. Just seeing them spread across the paths is a lovely sight.

THE  TARTAN
Or check, or plaid. Well, whatever you want to call it, it wouldn't be Autumn if you didn't own or adorn this pattern throughout this season. Obviously tartan scarves are a must, I must remind myself to buy one. I need one in my life. I know I got a few scarves that can keep my neck warm, but a tartan, or check, or plaid scarf is a necessity for Autumn.

PUMPKINS
This fruit (yes, it is a fruit, check Wikipedia) does a vanishing act for about 9-10 months of the year, now September comes and I'll walk into Morrison's and see them stacked on top of each other as I walk through the main entrance. This is confession time - I have never eaten or carved a pumpkin before in my life. Probably because I associate pumpkins with Halloween. Halloween isn't my favourite day of the year. I think we'll just leave that one there.

CONKERS
The days of holding conker tournaments on the yard in school. Conker season meant that all we heard at break and lunch times was the sound of conkers crashing into each other. I always had the crappy conkers, but it was always great to take part (and of course win) or be a spectator.

BONFIRE  NIGHT
If someone is lighting fireworks in their back garden or there's a public firework display nearby, then I better be invited. Guy Fawkes night is without a doubt one of my most favourite days of the calendar year. I'm 25 years old and I still love a sparkler. Who doesn't love writing their name in the air with one of those?

THE  NIGHTS  ARE  DRAWING  IN
That night we have to turn the clocks back is the sign that the sky will start to darken at 4:30pm. I am one for the days being shorter, especially in the lead up to Christmas. When it comes to January, I am not one for the early nights and I pine for Spring again. But it's so heartwarming to come home from work about 5:00pm, put your pyjamas on and cwtch up on the sofa to watch TV. That is complete bliss for a lot of us.

What are your favourite clichรฉs about Autumn?

Outdoor Photography

I recently posted some posts of me posing outside in different places, but by the looks of these pictures I need a little practice in regards to posing and knowing how and where to stand. You see these amazing bloggers and influencers posing so effortlessly and they look like professional models, then there's me looking awkward as f**k sitting on steps outside a museum. Maybe I need to enrol myself on a modelling course, even though I'd look like a sack of spuds next to the size zero girls.

Anyway, putting these pictures in different posts I've posted quite recently made me see that I maybe need to start getting somebody to take some pictures of me outside more often. The first time I had pictures taken outside was when I was in Liverpool. I sat out on the steps outside the museum, it was a very dull and drizzly day so thank f**k my hair held out for those five minutes I sat on the steps. I knew I had to be quick because there was a dark cloud looming overhead.

I look a little more natural in the photo where I stand in front of a very aesthetically pleasing pink wall. Thank goodness, I look a little more relaxed in those.

My natural stance is my arms down by my sides, possibly one of my arms flowing through my hair and I just smile for the camera.

I suppose posing comes from your natural instincts, there's nothing worse than looking at someone's photo and you can tell all too well that they're not entirely comfortable or happy to have their photo taken.

What I've learnt about having my photo taken outside, especially for blogging purposes, is that it's not about posing in a certain way or staring at god knows what in the distance, it's about being natural and showing the REAL you.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind taking a selfie in my bedroom. Let's face it, I wouldn't be prepared to go out in the rain just to get a good blogging photo, I can equally get just as good a photo being in my bedroom too. But I don't want to feel pressured into thinking that my photo's have to be taken outdoors at this stage in my blogging life. I should have my blogging selfies taken where I damn well please!

How do you feel about this bloggers?

Story of 2018: Chapter Nine (Pages 253 - 259)

P A G E  253
It's Monday and I have a productive Autumnal day planned, so let's get cracking! I really feel like eating a huge stack of pancakes with maple syrup, remind me to make pancakes one day.
I need to pop out to buy some Autumn blog props - how very bloggery of me!
Ok, hold your horses, I have possibly just found the most amazing type of blogging notebooks EVER -
I seriously cannot wait to start using these! All my blogging ideas will be written down in one of these books, probably the smaller book then the bigger book I'll keep for any blogging projects I come up with.
I also put these too -
I love Potpourri! Especially at this time of year, I love having that Autumnal smell in my house. As you can tell from reading this part of the entry, I love Autumn.
It's a lovely day, I want to take myself off somewhere -
This hot chocolate tasted stunning mind. It's the first time I have been to this little coffee place, I'm so glad I did, it definitely isn't my first and last visit there.

P A G E  254
I'm not in a good place this morning. My chest hasn't been feeling great the last week or so, it's time to give in to my lungs and start a course of Cipro. Great. I hate it because it means I can't have milk first thing in the morning, which means no cereal. Ah!

I'm at the gym and half an hour in to my session and I feel like I want to vomit on the rower machine. Time to make a move I think!
I've just got home now, the nausea is still taking it's hold. I'm hoping it'll pass before I go out later for a Subway with one of my good friends. I really fancy a Chicken Pizzaiola sub. I wonder what they're new wraps are like?
I'm on my way to pick up my friend Lucy for our Subway - the nausea has finally made a disappearance until tomorrow morning. Hopefully it won't be as bad as it was this morning.
I just come back home and I have booked a test drive on a car I want. Hopefully I'll like driving it so I can get it!
Right, it's an early night for me as I got work tomorrow. Me and my lungs need sleep.

P A G E  255

Is it seriously only Wednesday?! All I can say is that thank god there are only two working dats after today until the weekend! It's 6:30pm, I'm about to tuck into a Subway (I know, I know, twice in two days) but me and my Mam couldn't be bothered to cook - well, we're allowed to treat ourselves once in a while, right?

P A G E  256
I've overslept. I hate it when that happens, it completely throws me out of whack for the rest of the morning. It's watching a puma running around getting ready before heading off for work. I hate the morning rush! Right, let's breathe, I only got to eat breakfast, then it's drive time to work.
After a busy day, I need to pop to Card Factory to get a couple of cards - wait a minute, what's this?!

I'm sorry, but it's getting silly on how early Christmas cards are being displayed on the shelves in shops these days. Autumn hasn't even been and gone yet!
I've just bought a few items on Amazon, but items I've been meaning to buy for quite a long time -
I cannot wait for the Autumn nights of cuddling up in bed and getting stuck in to a good book.

P A G E  257
Thank f**k it is Friday. I don't think I have ever been this happy to see a Friday. I don't know why but I feel knackered today! But I'm off to work in a bit, taking the nausea from the antibiotics with me and hoping this Friday in work flies by.
I'm home from work, I need to get ready to see my bestie for a long overdue catch up and I get to see her little boy. That makes me smile.

This hot chocolate took me ages to get after the couple in front of me decided to ask every question in the Costa rule book to the barista, whether it was from what cakes they had to the Costa app they had on their phone, you name it, they asked it. The poor barista felt the need to apologise to me for waiting so long to give my order. Honest to god, don't go into a queue of Costa when there's thirsty customers like myself behind you, I just end up wanting to put my fist in your face.

P A G E  258
This nausea needs to eff off. This is the worst it's been since I started Cipro on Tuesday and I've had a guts full. One thing that has perked me up is knowing I got a little trip to the Kia show room this morning -

Well, that test drive went well! I've ordered the car and should hopefully be here by the end of October! Ok, that has cheered me up now! Right, I need to fit some exercise in before Liverpool's game starts. I got an hour - I got this!
A great win, I'm in an even better mood now! Oh I forgot to mention, I had this lovely Amazon delivery earlier -
I haven't bought a good book, well in this case, books, for ages now. I love reading books during the Autumn /Winter seasons. It's just nice to cwtch up in bed with a book after a long day in work or whatever and just completely chill. That for me, is pure bliss.
It's evening now, I'm sat waiting for Match of the Day to come on my TV screen, I think I'll just have a browse on New Look's website - ooh, what have we here?!
I told you guys before I loved the leopard print trend. I'm just keeping on top of it!
I can hear the Match of the Day theme song - see ya's!

P A G E  259

I feel incredibly sated and refreshed this morning. I think sleeping until 9:45am is a sign that my body desperately needed some restful sleep. Right, I am now wide awake and eager to get this Sunday started! But first - breakfast.
I've done some exercise, taken my Nan to bingo and I have just done some blogging stuff -
Ok, that may not sound overly exciting to the non-blogger, but bloggers will know the excitement of this!
Right, I am done now for the day, it's time to cwtch down in front of the telly and watch this -
If you don't binge watch Only Fools and Horses on the weekend at some point point, then you haven't done your weekend properly.
Ok it's 9pm, the Bodyguard is on - goodnight!

Coffee shop musings

Now, I don't like coffee I never have done, it's too strong tasting for my tongue. Give me a green tea, or in this case due to the photo's I've used, a hot chocolate. But as I'm writing this post, is it just me or saying to someone that you're going out for a coffee sound more professional and adult-y than saying you're going out for a hot chocolate? Saying you're going out for a hot chocolate sounds is the norm when it's Autumn or Winter.

Wait a minute! It is Autumn now isn't it? Well, not officially, but I am wearing a jumper as I write this and I'm drinking an aesthetically pleasing hot chocolate, so yes, it is Autumn and it is hot chocolate season.

Ok, I've gone slightly off topic here, I have a bad habit of doing that. Picture this - it's a Monday afternoon, it's my day off and I've done all I needed to do up until this point. So what do I decide to do? I take myself off for an hour to my local coffee place.

A very quiet and cute place, about a 5 minute drive from my house, it's pretty quiet in here as it's a Monday afternoon. I got my notebook with me to make some notes on this post amongst other blog post ideas. Sometimes just going somewhere different can give you new inspiration for ideas. Whether it's something you hear in another person's conversation (I wasn't being nosey!) or sometimes quotes on the walls give you food for thought.

Being sat here, writing down plenty of notes, has got me thinking that I need to do this more often. I genuinely think that taking yourself off somewhere you've never been before can give you a little uplift in confidence and also just trying something new is always a great thing. Getting out of the same routine and making an escape from your house once in a while can do your mental wellbeing wonders because you're getting out of that samey-samey routine.

Also being sat in this coffee shop, gradually writing down thoughts and ideas, I've realised that I haven't checked my phone for notifications or emails once. That's a bonus in my book. We all need to put our phones away to clear our heads. What a way to do it, in a cafรฉ with a hot chocolate sat in front of me, well now a mostly empty glass as I've almost drunk it all. FYI - it was very delicious.

The point of this post is that, please, once in a while, take yourself off somewhere for a little me time and to just get yourself out of that habitual routine. I tell you one thing, it makes you feel like a proper blogger sitting in a coffee shop with a notebook and pen.

Before I forget! The place I went to for this hubba-hubba hot chocolate was Cabin Cwtch (loving the typical Welsh word). I would definitely recommend a visit if you're ever passing through Newport.

Where do you like taking yourself off to by yourself?

It's time to be happy again and the power of a positive mindset

I'm finally publishing this post after months of it being in drafts. Well, I'm not saying I've been so unhappy in the last few months, because I've had my good days and made some good memories. But there have been a fair share of bad days where I've wanted to curl up in a ball in the corner and just cry.
My fringe clearly had other ideas
Top // New Look // Online Here
Espadrilles // Boohoo // Online Here

In recent times, I haven't had the best time of it, going to Liverpool for a couple of days being my one highlight of the entire summer, plus the gorgeous weather we did have. Lots of things haven't gone the way I've wanted them to and my cat going missing has been heartbreaking and I miss her dreadfully. I've looked in the mirror in the morning, trying not to be too freaked out at the state of my disarray hair, realising this isn't the strong willed Lucy I know and have created. I needed the old me back.

Unfortunately, I am one of those people who sits back and waits for the good things to come along. I know, kind of not the best trait to personally own.

But things have seemed to click in my mind, I need to jump up off the sofa and make stuff happen instead of waiting for it to come to me. I'm trying to make a career change which isn't easy, but I'm willing to give it my all until I can get up on a Monday morning and be happy that I am going to work.

As I'm writing this post, I am starting to feel more positive about things again! I want to be the old Lucy again, the one I know and love. I need to get into that positive mindset again.

Your mind is a powerful thing. Fill it with positive thoughts, the happier and more content you will feel. However, fill it with negative thoughts, that's it - you've probably set yourself up to have a pretty bleak day.

I think this will be my main aim for the rest of 2018 - think positive when times are tough and just smile.

"There is always a reason to smile - find it"
My bestie made a joke behind the camera - I honestly can't remember what it was but it must have made me belly laugh!

One thing I used to do was every time I woke up in the morning, I thought about something that there was to look forward to over the next 24 hours. It would help me get out of bed but also it would help me start my day off with a positive mindset. I need to start doing that again, it really does work.

So here is to a happy rest of 2018!

Story of 2018: Chapter Nine (Pages 246 - 252)

P A G E  246
So there is still no sign of Lily on this Monday morning. I'm going to be ringing all the vets in my local area to see if they have had any cats handed in over the weekend.
I've rang the vets, they were all so lovely and friendly considering it's a Monday morning. I also have an appointment with the podiatrist. That's a story for another day!
I just heard the post man posting something through the letterbox -

This has perked up my morning, plus the fact that my blogging bestie Julia is in this issue has made my day a little brighter. Well done girl!
Oh hello me! -
My little tweet made Blogosphere Magazine! My little contribution!
It's tea time, but I'm really craving this as I eat my chicken and vegetable soup -
With lots of custard. And I mean lots of custard!
Hopefully there will be better news tomorrow *crosses fingers and toes*

P A G E  247

There's still no sign of her, hoping to get some posters printed tomorrow to show neighbours and stick on lampposts. Right, let's get on with today, I got some blogging to do, even though I can't really focus right now.
I've been looking forward to EastEnders ALL DAY. I want to know who shot Stuart!
Oh em gee, what an episode, everyone looks so guilty of doing it! Now it's time to watch Only Fools and Horses then have a good old cry at Long Lost Family. It gets me every time.

P A G E  248
I'm getting some posters made for Lily today, the sooner we put them up, the better! Right, I need to get my mind off things, time to hit the gym!
I'm currently straightening my hair whilst This Morning is on my TV in the background, this story about this woman really does make me question some people's intelligence -

If this her lifetime goal then she needs to really evaluate her current life. How vain and fame hungry this girl is.
I need to go and get petrol then I'm hitting Primark to have a look at some weekend bags. Don't panic, I'm not running away! It's just handy for in the future if I find the guts to venture somewhere other than Liverpool on my own.
I tell you what though, putting a bit of makeup on and wearing decent clothes has perked up my mood -
You'll have to excuse the smear on the mirror, I have no idea how it's got there considering I don't touch my mirror unless it's with a cloth in my hand to de-dust it. It looks like I've dripped mayonnaise on my jeans.

It's 6am. I'm trying to make myself wake up. I literally could crawl into a ball in my bed and go back to sleep. But unfortunately, after six weeks off, the inevitable day has arrived -
No, I really am not. Oh, how I wish I as back in this place today -
Ah Liverpool. My happy place. Right, let's not start daydreaming of walking down Albert Dock, I need to get to work.
It's been quite a nice, chilled day in work, I've just been to B&Q to bought some cable ties. Wait, I better explain, I'm not using them for any kind of Fifty Shades - umm...activity, but I need them for my posters.
It's been a week since I last seen my little fur baby. Hopefully somebody will have some information for her sooner rather than later.

It's Friday (thank god) and I'm looking forward to a relaxing evening in tonight watching EastEnders and drooling at Masterchef. It's 7:25am and I should be in my working clothes, instead I am in my pyjamas, finding the energy to get off my arse and get ready for work!
I'm home, it's been a long day, but I'm in a regretful kind of mood -
I really wish I was drinking a large glass of Blossom Hill rose. I think I've seriously earned it after the week I've had.

It's 9:45am and I am really struggling to find the motivation to get off my backside and get on with Saturday. I got some exercise to do and I got to take my Mam food shopping later. I can't be the only person who thinks food shopping is one of the most tedious, boring tasks to do in the week? The only thing I like about it is buying all my favourite foods and of course - wine.
It's half past 7:30pm, I'm on my second glass of wine and this is about to come on my TV screen -
That's made my Saturday night's sorted until Christmas. I absolutely adore Strictly! This is one TV show I would love to take part in, just for all the glitz and glamour and dancing with one of those gorgeous male dancers!

I love waking up to this sort of news! -

That has been kindly withdrawn from  my National Lottery account online and hopefully I'll see it in a few days in my bank account. Ooh, that's set my mood up for the day!
I've done some exercise, taken my Nan to bingo, now I'm doing something I've been dying to do for ages -
I'm sure I got enough hangers for my whole street to have. There are honestly loads just sitting on my bed. I got to find a place for them until I use them again when I buy new clothes. I'm sure they won't be in the spare room for long. Not with all the current items in my ASOS wish list.
I'm sat here and I'm itching for it to be 9pm. I seriously cannot wait for the Bodyguard to come on tonight!
But before that Dragon's Den is on, oh my word, this is an excellent idea!
This man is a genius. I would have invested in it, at the end of the day - it's cheesecake.
Right it's 9pm - it's time!
Goodnight!

What My First Blogging Lunch Taught Me

I went to Liverpool recently (as if you already didn’t know!) and I broke my first blogging lunch virginity. I’m sure there is a less crude way to put it but I think we’ll stick with it for now.

I finally met the lovely Julia who is my blogging bestie online. FYI - she is just as lovely as she is away from the laptop screen.

We made plans prior to me coming up to Liverpool and we met at this very Instagrammy place Love Thy Neighbour on Bold Street.

A very cute, pastel pink coloured and quaint cafรฉ with a very bloggery menu - yep, avocado, eggs and bagels were amongst the lovely sounding dishes on the pink paper menu. Walking in to the cafรฉ, there was a feel good atmosphere, it's clearly a very popular eating place and I'd heard so much about it from Liverpool bloggers posting pictures of the place and food on Instagram. I can definitely see why it is ever so popular now.

We got shown to our table, which was in the corner by the window (perfect lighting for taking a picture of my meal). So after debating and pondering for a few minutes, I wanted to be a five year old kid and eat pancakes. But seriously though before you all scoff with laughter, who the hell doesn't love pancakes?! Which, by the way, were truly delicious. Is it wrong that I wanted seconds? I was just meeting a new friend, I didn't want her to think I was a pancake eating pig!

So what did I learn from my first blogging lunch? That:

1. I have absolutely fallen in love with blogger lunches.
2. I need to do them more often.
3. I need to try the Halloumi fries next time I go to Love Thy Neighbour

How cool would it be for every blogger to say that they have a blogger friend who they regularly meet up with for coffee/brunch and they bring their laptops and marble notebooks and do blogging stuff together then they have a mini photography session afterwards? But obviously things like work, finding bloggers in your town or city and just life in general can get in the way of that sometimes.
But I know I have a blogger friend in Julia and I can't wait to see her again, maybe she could come to Newport for a visit?

Now, one thing Love Thy Neighbour has outside is the most Instagrammable wall on the side of the building. Of course, the blogger in me decides to take full advantage and have her best friend take pictures of me standing by the wall, leaning on the wall and laughing at god knows what!
