For those who haven't heard of the Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic, it's an alcohol-free toner which aims to replenish the skin with soothing hydration. It's a great toner for preparation for your skincare routine.
Now, I haven't tried too many toners in my skincare routines before, I always thought they would dry up my skin, so I've always warfully avoided them. So when Liz Earle contacted me about their toner, I thought I'd try it. I've had such good successes with Liz Earle skincare products in the past, so I thought this would be no exception! Now, as I haven't tried the Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic before, I never realised that there have been two versions of it. The one I have been sent is the original which they first introduced a while ago. Liz Earle listened to their customer feedback and brought the original IBST back. Like I said, I hadn't tried the tonic before today, so I was really excited to test it out!
I've been using it for quite a few days now, so I'm ready to form my opinion and give you an honest review of the Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic:
1) So, what is the Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic?
It's a toner which refreshes, soothes and brightens the appearance of the skin. It's a great skincare preparation product which is suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin.
2) How do you use the tonic?
A toner is usually used as the second part of a skincare routine, straight after cleanser. So after I apply the Liz Earle Cleanse & Glow Transforming Cleanser, I apply the toner. To use this tonic, you simply -
1) Twist the cap. Pour a generous amount on the cotton pad.
2) Sweep the cotton pad over the face and neck.
It's so easy to apply! I use these Liz Earle reusable face pads which came with the toner and they're incredibly absorbent and soft! Once you apply the toner, you can then apply your serum, moisturiser etc.
3) What makes the Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic different from other toners?
What makes the tonic different from other toners you may have used before is that the tonic is CF free. It also contains ethical ingredients like aloe vera to help with hydration, calendula extract to help calm the skin, chamomile extract to help soothe the skin and cucumber extract for its cooling properties.
4) What are my thoughts on the tonic then?
I absolutely love it! This toner does not make my skin feel dry at all - quite the opposite! I love how replenished and refreshed my skin feels after use. It gives my skin a sort of radiant glow after use, which is something I've never noticed from any other toner I've used before. I love that Liz Earle are a CF (cruelty-free) brand and their ingredients are ethically sourced. My Liz Earle skincare product collection is getting bigger and better and I'm loving that!
