Sometimes I struggle to keep up with my favourite blogger's on Twitter and I heavily rely on comment threads to keep me up to date of who's posted what new post. It's like my daily blogging news bulletin.
One app that I use on a regular basis to keep up to speed on blogger's new content is Bloglovin'. When I first started using Bloglovin' and connected my blog with my Bloglovin' profile, which was about three years ago, I never really used it much. I didn't make the time to scroll through and I felt that there was any real benefit of me using it.
Over the last year, I really have used Bloglovin' to it's full potential. Not only does it help me keep on top of my favourite blogger's newest content, but it's allowed me to discover new content not just from the UK, but from America and across the world. It's a great app to discover talented blogger's and their incredible writing and photography. It's surprising how much you learn from that too.
What I mean by that is, well, you learn something new in blogging everyday (I know I do) and from reading countless and varied blog posts, I've gained some knowledge from their posts, their writing technique and also their photography skills.
It's surprising how many blogger's don't have a Bloglovin' account. Maybe they think it's pointless, like I did all those years ago. Maybe they can keep up with all the endless comment threads that crop up on my Twitter feed. I do love comment threads, but I feel I can keep updated with the blogger's I follow and when they post their new content with Bloglovin'. Everyday, I make the point of making time to explore Bloglovin', whether it's to comment on new posts or to find new blogger's to follow and read their content.
If you're still sceptical about the app, give it a try. You might be surprised that it really is worth it. The amount of new blogger's I've found is incredible. You can still find new blogger's through Twitter blogging comment threads, but I prefer to use Bloglovin' as I can reach to a wider range of content.
I'd love to know if you still use Bloglovin' !
Lucy
I used to use bloglovin all the time but I must admit I haven't used it in a little while.
ReplyDeletewww.thekellydianereport.co.uk
I do use it quite often as it's one of the only ways I can keep up with other blogger's new posts!
DeleteYess I love Bloglovin'! Like you said, I learn a lot from reading other peoples' blogs and everyday I make the effort to scroll through new posts. x
ReplyDelete- charlotte / https://charlottesspace.com
Absolutely Charlotte! I've learnt so much from reading other people's blogs! x
DeleteI use Bloglovin', but I am guilty of not really using it to read other's posts/follow other bloggers etc. Like you, I always miss posts and use the comment threads to catch up, so maybe I will have to use Bloglovin' a bit more for the smae purpose!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!

Comment threads are my life saver too Aimsy! It's surprising how many different blogger's you'll find on Bloglovin! xx
DeleteI def. still use BlogLovin' because I find it easier to organise my blog-hopping that way. Really annoying how many spam accounts keep following me on there though - and there's no option to report them! Argh!
ReplyDeleteCee @ Dora Reads http://www.dorareads.co.uk/
Oh the spam accounts are really annoying aren't they?! It's a shame that Bloglovin doesn't give the option to block or report a spam account x
DeleteI have always used bloglovin as long as I have had my blog. As you say, it's a great way to get to read new content and to keep up to date with your fav blogs. Wouldn't be without using it!
ReplyDeleteAmber | www.amberatlanta.blogspot.co.uk
I'm glad I've found someone who loves and uses Bloglovin just as much as I do! x
DeleteI love Bloglovin it's honestly the best way to keep track of my favourite blogs.
ReplyDeleteIt's an amazing app/website isn't it?!
DeleteThat's a good point Claire, quite a few blogger's who have Bloglovin haven't updated it for a while, which is a shame!
ReplyDeleteI still use bloglovin and I think it's great to find other blogs that you may like and it always gives me traffic to my website.
ReplyDeleteGreat post :)

That's good to hear!
DeleteThis is actually really interesting, I used to use my Bloglovin' account to follow blog years ago before I even had a blog but haven't looked at it in a very long time. I'm guilty of relying on threads to keep up with my favourites too and it's not the best system at all. You miss one, they miss one, you both do one but choose different ones and the next thing you know it's been weeks since you read one of your favourites. I should really give it a go again and try to make checking it a part of my routine x

I think that's why I love Bloglovin', it gives me a chance to keep up to date with my favourites new posts, especially those who don't use the comment threads on Twitter x
DeleteI use bloglovin a lot so that I don't miss any post from other bloggers. I think it is great ♡
ReplyDeletefleetinggyal.blogspot.com
I'm glad you think the same as me Maria! x
DeleteI think I have a bloglovin' account but don't use it.
ReplyDeletewww.fashionradi.com
Ah that's a shame!
DeleteI use bloglovin' pretty much everyday. It's the only way I keep up with my favorite bloggers as well as discover new ones. I'm just sad that they don't have an app anymore (at least for android phones they don't).
ReplyDeleteRita xx
https://www.theeuropeancloset.eu/
Ah I didn't know they didn't have an app for Android! That's such a shame, but at least you can use their website to keep checking Rita! xx
DeleteI love Bloglovin! I use the WordPress reader to keep up with most fellow bloggers but I've found Bloglovin is so useful for keeping up with those who don't use WP and it's handy to have everything all in the one place. Like you said, it's so good for discovering new blogs too!
ReplyDeleteAmy | sassycatlady.com
That's good to hear Amy, it's good to keep an eye on those blogger's who don't have WP! x
DeleteI still use bloglovin to follow others blog and to occasional check my posts, that is all I really to do, I use comment threads now :)
ReplyDeleteNic | Nic's Adventures & Bakes
That's fair enough Nic, I use comment threads and Bloglovin to help me check posts!
DeleteWhen I fiat started my blog I would use blog lovin’ all the time but I sort of just forgot about it but from reading this I think I need to get my account back up and running again! X
ReplyDeleteIt's worth getting your account up and running again Aaliyah! x
DeleteI still post to my bloglovin account and have a scroll through, it can be so glitchy so I don't use it as often as I'd like!
ReplyDeleteLove, Amie ❤️
The Curvaceous Vegan
Yeah it can be a bit glitchy sometimes Amie, which is a shame because the app still has so much potential! x
DeleteI do have a Bloglovin profile but I haven't used it in years. I feel like when I first got it, I didn't really know what I was doing on it and from then onwards I just haven't gone back to it. It sounds great being able to keep up to date with your favourite bloggers and discover more. I do use twitter comment threads at the moment to discover new blogs but maybe I shall have a go at getting back to bloglovin!
ReplyDeleteChloe xx
www.chloechats.com
It's definitely worth trying to use it again Chloe! I'm like you, I use Twitter comment threads to discover new bloggers also xx
DeleteI really need to start making the most of Bloglovin'. I barely ever use it but, like you, I'm always getting lost in comment threads and losing track of everyone's new posts :') x
ReplyDeletehttps://www.femaleoriginal.com
Yeah it's so easy to get lost and a little overwhelmed in the comment thread when there's so many posts to read and comment on! x
DeleteYeah, I am still on the Bloglovin' train. I mean, till I can find another blog reader which allows me to read all my favourite blogs in one place, I think I will continue to use this! I really do find the spam accounts which keep following and unfollowing to be super annoying, but I guess it's a small pain to deal with on the whole!
ReplyDeleteShirsha | thegoodlivingblog.com
The spam accounts are quite annoying, it's a shame that there isn't an option to block/report spam accounts on there!
DeleteI love using Bloglovin' I love using it to discover new blogs as well as to easily see all the content that my favourite bloggers are posting
ReplyDeleteIt's a good app for discovering new blogs isn't it Alice?!
DeleteI started my main blog on Bloglovin so feel connected hehe. I am going to start using again to find new blogs.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this fab informative post!
Louna | Burstsofautumn
I'm glad you found it informative Louna! x
DeleteI love Bloglovin and I must admit that I rely on it a lot. If a blogger doesn't have it, I must admit that I fall behind on their posts and end up missing a big chunk of them xx
ReplyDeleteHannah | https://luxuryblush.co.uk/
That's what it is like for me too Hannah, if a blogger doesn't have Bloglovin, I fall massively behind on their blog posts xx
DeleteI am not using Bloglovin much

DeleteI must admit I love bloglovin as I have saved all the blogs I read and highlighted my favorite ones to never miss a post, that interests me. I have to say I don't read everything nowadays but if I do so, mostly via Bloglovin. But I am curious how other people keep on track with blogs, as I have a very few lovely followers but not that magical 10K I can't use swipe ups. But maybe I can work on that :)

Bloglovin is the best way for me to keep on top of new blog posts, I sometimes struggle with Twitter threads as there's so many! x
DeleteI used to love the bloglovin' reader! What happened was that I was following people on both the wordpress reader and the bloglovin' reader, so I would forget to check back and I would lose their posts! I am slowly transitioning to have all the blogs I follow on the wordpress reader! This is a great post for people who don't have a reader to keep all the bloggers they follow organized. great post lucy xxx
ReplyDeleteMelina | www.melinaelisa.com
That's fair enough Melina! Wordpress is a great way to keep track of posts (if you have it) xxx
DeleteI still use bloglovin - such a great app for us blog lovers!
ReplyDeleteZoey | www.zoeyolivia.com
It really is Zoey!
DeleteI found this so interesting to read as I'm definitely guilty of neglecting Bloglovin! I'm going to start spending some more time on it now though :)
ReplyDeleteKaty | www.katystephenson.com
I hope you can Katy!
DeleteI remember when Bloglovin' was used by everyone, but now seems to have gone out of fashion. I still love it as an easy way to keep up to date and to look through older posts of bloggers I've just discovered!
ReplyDeleteJemima x

Absolutely Jemima, I still use it and I still love it! x
DeleteI've never actually used Bloglovin before - I also go for the Wordpress reader but this is interesting. I might just have a go.
ReplyDeleteI think Bloglovin and WordPress readers are definitely similar!
DeleteI feel like you use Bloglovin' like I use to Wordpress Reader! It makes sure I don't miss the posts from some of my favourite bloggers - especially if they don't take part in Twitter threads!
ReplyDeleteKatie | katieemmbeauty.com
It does make sure you keep on top of those blogger's who don't use Twitter threads!
DeleteI use bloglovin as well to keep up to date, I also do still think most of my readership comes from bloglovin! xx
