Yes. It's time for me to gain more focus in my life. Stop being distracted by the little things and just get tasks done, no matter how menial and tedious they are.



Focus - My Word For 2020

Picture it, you need to ring the gas people to complain about their price hike with your bill, but if you're not a phone person (well, who is?). The idea of lying on the settee with a pack of biscuits watching morning TV seems more appealing than listening to that mind-numbing music while you're on hold. See, you've lost focus on the job you were meant to do because it doesn't seem entirely attractive. Does that make sense? If not, just comment in the box below!


I want my life to have some sort of focal point. I need something to aim for. I feel like I'm going stale and stagnating. One thing I have achieved is that I've travelled to other places other than Liverpool. For example, in 2019, I travelled to three different cities other than Liverpool. A big achievement for myself personally, I knew I needed to explore new places, and I still aim to do that in 2020.



Focus - My Word For 2020

I think having more focus in my life will lead me to accomplish my goals, not procrastinate and even complete the to-do lists I set myself for the next day. Seriously, to do lists are THE ONE. I never thought I would be one of those people who would find great joy and fulfilment in my to-do list, but my god, I feel such a huge sense of satisfaction when I put a little tick next to the task I've just completed.


Let's step away from to-do lists (as I've used those three words too much already) and FOCUS on the post in hand. See, I'm using the main point of this post so I can finish writing it. It's working!


Why have I decided that I need a word for 2020? I read a post from Victoria. It inspired me to follow her mantra of choosing a word to represent the upcoming year. A brilliant and quite clever idea.



Focus - My Word For 2020

Picking a word to represent 2020 has given me a lot of enthusiasm for what I want to gain. I implore you my little munchkins to try the same as myself. Choose a word that you would like to carry you through your year. It can be the main focal point of every decision you make. It can give you that direction you need in your life.


I've already made one decision to focus on my blog in 2020. Best decision I've made this year so far and it's only January! Happy days.


With my word, focus, I want to focus on any decision I need to make and weigh up the pros and cons. I want to focus on all of the goals I want to obtain. I have a new mindset now which has made me a lot happier and more creative in a way.
