All I Want For Christmas with Boots

Is it too early to be talking about Christmas? Of course it's bleeding not! It's not just me who feels this way, Boots do too!

Boots have invited me to be a part of their 'All I Want For Christmas' campaign, which focuses on what people really love during the Christmas festivities. They've carried out a festive survey to ask key audiences questions about what they love over the festive season, you know, what really makes them happy.

I've already gotten into the spirit of Christmas, I've put out a little few decorations for the house, I've kind of started my Christmas shopping and according to the Boots survey, a quarter of Brits started their Christmas shopping WAY back in August. So before you all shake your heads and disapprove me starting my shopping in November, there are others who put Monica Gellar to shame with their organisational skills. I don't think I could ever be that regimental and start festive shopping THAT early. For a start I'd have nowhere to hide it all!

In regards to what I would like for Christmas (I expect my friends who are reading this to have their pen and paper ready) I have decided to make a little wish list of the things I need, not what I want. Things that I need go more of a long way in my eyes than things I want. For me, for the things I crave, the novelty wears off and I get bored of it after a while. I sound like a kid who gets bored with their Barbie doll after only 5 minutes. Wish lists are very popular in deciding what you what like to open under the Christmas tree. According to the Boots survey, I'm the age group (25-34) where creating a wish list peaks. I am one of those people who does get easily influenced into buying things that people wear or use on Instagram or any other social media platform. In a way, it's quite scary how easily some, myself included, are easily influenced these days.

Like I said at the beginning, I've started my Christmas shopping. I look at the people I have to buy for and I can already pick out the friends and family who are incredibly tricky to buy for. I literally walk around the shops in a daze wondering what on earth could I buy this one person! In the survey Boots carried out, 1/3 of us believe we are difficult to buy for and state that they own literally everything. I wish those friends who are hard to buy for would tell me! I don't like to think I am a hard person to buy for, I'm very easily pleased! I can also safely say that I don't own everything! So I hope that's made my friend's Christmas shopping easier!

Thanks to Boots, they have kindly sent me some gifts for him and her and also one for myself that I would like to gift to some of the main people in my life. Boots offer a wide selection of Christmas gifts for him and Christmas gifts for her, so you're never stuck for choice.

For my Mam, I chose Sanctuary Spa Decadent Delights. The set includes a wet skin moisture miracle, body wash, body lotion, body scrub and luxury bath float. Lovely little treats for the start of the New Year.

For my Uncle, I chose a Loreal Men Expert Energising Kit. The set contains shower gel, face wash and a moisturiser. Mind you, I have two uncles to buy for, I'll have to buy another one to even it out!

For myself (it's a must to treat yourself at Christmas), I chose a Soap & Glory brow set which includes a brow gel, brow defining crayon and setting gel, tweezers and a two-step shaping & highlighting crayon. I'm always looking for new products to sort my brows out, this little gift is perfect for sorting them out!

Now, I've been a little naughty and chose another gift for myself. I would have gifted this to a friend but this set is just too beautiful to give away. This Ted Baker Ultimate Harmony set is just gorgeous, full of products that I would most certainly use on a daily basis. Two eye palettes, an eyelash curler, two nail polishes (burgundy and nude shades) , two lip balms (nude and red shades) , blusher, bronzer, a mascara, an eyebrow pencil, a highlighter brush and an eyeshadow brush. My makeup bag will definitely be given a makeover in the New Year!

Ok, this is the fun part, if you go over to my Instagram, I shall be announcing a giveaway where you will be in with the chance to win a Soap & Glory Advent Calendar! Go to my Insta ( @lucymarytaylor) and keep an eye out for the giveaway!
