Blog Reads of November

It's CHRISTMAS. Well, not quite, but it's the end of November, which literally means it's Christmas. Even though Christmas started for me a while ago when Christmas songs were being played on the TV music channels.

Also, it's just dawned on me that we are entering 2020 in a matter of weeks - how the hell are we entering another decade?! This time 10 years ago, I was a fresh-faced college student lugging around folders in a fake Michael Kors bag, as you do.

Anyway, the end of the month means it's time for my blogging round-up. I'm quite surprised how much I have read this month as I've been rushed off my feet! Well, I say rushed off my feet, I basically mean drinking lots of green tea and doing a lot of procrastinating. Don't we all?!

Ok then, here goes, here are my favourite blog posts from November:

1) 11 Best Places In South Wales To Explore | Hand Luggage Only
I'm quite ashamed to say, as someone who was born, lives and (just about) breathes in Wales, I never really realised all of the beautiful places that this country has to offer! Thanks to this post, it has made me want to hire a camper van and just drive around the place! It's shocking how many of these places are literally on my doorstep. Ok not literally, more like a half-hour drive, but that's not too far to go when you've got the radio blasting and you're singing like you're on the X Factor. A great post for anyone who is keen on jumping over into the Welsh borders.

2) Advice For Bloggers Who Work Full Time | Style Rarebit
I can safely say that I have had the experience of working full time whilst fitting in blogging at the same time. It's not an easy task. Christy has given some great advice on how to tackle the busyness of it all. She says it's important not to put pressure on yourself - and I completely agree. When you start pressuring yourself to get everything done all at once, you don't produce your best content and you have a good chance of complete burnout. From creating a rough schedule to taking full advantage of any creative thoughts and also taking a wad full of photos, it all helps.

3) Is Blogging Really Free? | Emily Clare
I wish newbie bloggers could fully comprehend how much blogging really costs. There are a lot of hidden costs in blogging which don't get mentioned very often. I love how Emily highlights this. From paying for self-hosting, to buying a domain to even buying blogging props for photo etc. Every newbie blogger should read Emily's post, it really does give you an insight into the world of blogging costs! I know when I first started out, I never fully took on board the financial sacrifices I would have to make to keep my blog going. No matter how many cost-effective ways you can think of, in blogging you always have to pay for something!

4) 11 Ways To Get In The Festive Mood | Kayleigh Zara
Like I said at the beginning of this post, Christmas basically started weeks ago. Now, I know that there are a few Scrooges out there who hate Christmas and despise everything associated with it, but I'm sure that this post from Kayleigh will get you feeling festive! From putting the decorations up to watching Christmas films and thinking about all of the Christmas food that we'll be divulging until we explode. Ooh, the pigs in blankets...

We all have this sense of fear of the inevitable. Not knowing what's around the corner and the fear of time slipping by. This post from Chloe is so raw and honest. It's, in a way, quite refreshing to see and read somebody being so truthful about their fear of getting older and eventually dying. I'll be honest, I'm scared of dying. Even though I know and have accepted that I won't live as life as anybody else, there's still that fear that one day, I won't be here and that frightens me. Thank you Chloe for being so forthcoming and honest.
