Yepoda: An Honest Review of the K-Beauty Skincare Brand

*This post contains PR items from Yepoda. Please see the end of the post for more details.

I've reviewed many skincare products and devices over the years, but this may shock you: I've rarely used K-Beauty (Korean Beauty) products before, except for
Medicube! I know, it's shameful; I'm not proud of it. But thanks to Yepoda, I finally get to try another K-Beauty brand! The brand sent me some wonderful products to try, and I have been itching to review this brand!

Before I delve into which Yepoda products I'll be talking about...

What is K-Beauty?

K-Beauty is an umbrella term for skincare products originating from South Korea. These brands sell beauty and skincare products that deliver intensive hydration, protect the skin barrier, and prioritise long-term skin health.

K-Beauty brands believe it's about consistency and care, not quick fixes.

Let me tell you about Yepoda...

Yepoda (which means 'pretty' in Korean) is a Certified B-Corp K-Beauty brand founded in 2020 that provides quality skincare while keeping sustainability at the forefront of product development.

The brand sells a wide range of skincare products for all types of skin issues, including dryness, ageing, and pigmentation.

Yepoda products including the Porefect Pads, Depuff Eyespresso, The Calm Balm and Bubble Double Foam Cleanser.

Is Yepoda a sustainable brand?

Yes, Yepoda is a sustainable skincare brand! Yepoda believes in clean beauty, and its products are formulated with natural and active ingredients. All of its skin products are free from parabens, silicones, mineral oils, and sulfates. All its products are vegan too.

Not only is the brand B-Corp Certified, but it is also PETA-certified, and it belongs to the 1% for the Planet initiative.

The brand strives to find and use the most eco-friendly packaging solutions for its products.

Tell us about the Yepoda products you have been using!

I have been using four products from the Yepoda range, and they are:

  • The Calming Cleanse Balm
  • The Depuff Eyespresso Patches
  • The Porefect Toner Pads
  • The Bubble Double Cleansing Foam

Let's start with the Calming Cleanse Balm:

Containing olive and coconut oil, this *cleansing balm is fantastic for removing makeup effortlessly. If you're looking for a cleansing balm that is good for sensitive skin, this is the ideal balm for you. Not only is this cleansing balm good for removing makeup and residue, but it's also good for dry and dull-looking skin, as well as clogged pores.

This honestly removes my makeup with little effort needed on my part, and it instantly melts my makeup away. It's really nourishing, and my skin feels like it's so clean and fresh after makeup removal. I only need about 1-2 pea-sized amounts (depending on how much makeup I need to remove).

This cleansing balm is priced at £21.

Next, the Bubble Double Cleansing Foam:

After using the Calming Cleanse Balm, the best kind of cleanser to use is a foam-based one. The *Bubble Double Cleansing Foam is the perfect option! Fused with pomegranate and salicylic acid, this foaming cleanser deeply cleanses the pores, removes any impurities and gently exfoliates the skin. This is also a pH- balancing cleanser. This cleanser is good for all skin types, including sensitive skin.

I do love using a foam-style cleanser in my evening skincare routine, so I am fully reassured that my skin has had a good double cleanse before bed. This cleanser in particular makes my skin feel, well, cleansed. It basically does what it's supposed to do, and I'm more than satisfied with how my skin feels after use.

This does have a lovely fruity scent to it, but nothing that is overpowering or anything that will irritate the skin.

This cleanser is priced at £18.

Next, the Porefect Toner Pads...

These exfoliating rose water *toner pads from Yepoda are the perfect little tonic for my skin. These not only exfoliate the skin, but they give it that much-needed hydration and radiance. If you're looking for that glass skin look, look no further than these toning pads!

Each jar contains 60 pads, and they're heart-shaped. If that doesn't sell them to you, I don't know what will!

It is recommended that they be used 1-2 times a day, depending on your skin's needs. I use these every other day and usually just on any area/areas that need a little TLC. This means that one jar will last you roughly a month. It is also recommended that you apply sunscreen after use, as the exfoliation can make the skin a little sensitive to sunlight, so bear that in mind.

These little pads are good, as they have the right amount of toner in them for your skin's needs. You can then apply them to the areas that need a little pick-me-up. These are great to use before I apply my serum in my morning skincare routine or at night before my night cream. I'm really pleased with how my skin looks and feels after using them! The pads are great for hyperpigmentation, oiliness and dullness. They are perfect for all skin types.

These pads are biodegradable and have a subtle floral scent. These are priced at £25. As the jar is reusable, you can buy a refill for £21.

Finally, the Depuff Eyespresso Eye Patches:

I do love a little self-care session that involves using eye patches. These *eye patches are perfect for revitalising my under-eyes and for giving them a depuff. Infused with green tea, aloe vera and caffeine, these eye patches are biodegradable and are perfect if you have puffiness and fine lines around the eye area.

I absolutely adore these gel eye patches; they are fantastic at eliminating any puffiness around my eyes! I just need to leave them on for 15 minutes and let them do the work while I relax with an iced matcha. I usually use them 1-2 times a week, depending on how much I have (and actually remembering to do them!).

Priced at £25, these eye patches are fantastic, and I will happily buy some for myself!

Now, let me tell you more about Yepoda as a brand:

Shipping and Returns
Shipping in the UK costs £3.99 for orders under £30. Yepoda uses Royal Mail as its courier.

For returns, you can return any items within 30 days, and you need to contact customer service to find out how to create a return for your package.

Packaging
From a packaging perspective, it is of wonderful quality, and a bonus is that all packaging is recyclable, and some is reusable and refillable.

Longevity
Most of the products I have discussed today will last me quite a while, particularly the Bubble Double Cleansing Foam. Cleansing foams tend to last several months, since I only need one pump per night.

The Porefect Toner Pads will only last about a month if used 1-2 times a day, which is a bit of a snag, as that would be a costly monthly investment.

To sum up Yepoda and their skincare products...

Yepoda is a wonderful K-Beauty skincare brand! The skincare products I've been using so far have been fantastic for my skin.

The packaging is aesthetically pleasing to the eye, and I love that it is all either recyclable, reusable, or refillable. The brand's sustainability practices are clearly evident in all of their products, packaging and their overall ethos.

One aspect of the brand I love is the clear communication about its ingredients and product scents, as well as what skin type each product would suit. Also, it gives clear information on how each skincare item can help your skin.

I think Yepoda has made me a huge fan of K-Beauty, and now I totally want to try other K-Beauty brands. But for now, Yepoda has my heart, and I cannot wait to keep using these products and others in the future.

I'd love to know your thoughts on Yepoda!
