Black Trousers: 7 Fashionable Outfit Ideas For Any Occasion

Regarding wardrobe staples, black trousers are one of the first items that spring to mind. Black trousers can be styled with many different looks and styles, no matter the occasion. However, I have to confess, I haven't owned a pair of black trousers since I first started going to interviews for jobs when I left college. 

It's taken me a while to find THE perfect pair of black trousers, mainly due to my height. I FINALLY found the *perfect pair on ASOS and they fit so perfectly and I haven't needed to take them up, which is a massive bonus!

Since I bought these trousers, I've been surprised by how many looks I've created with some items that are already in my wardrobe. 

Here are some outfit ideas for black trousers: 

Outfit 1:

This look is the perfect casual look with a bit of an edge. I've paired my black trousers with THE Zara jacket from last year (which I bought from Vinted). The black tote bag is from New Look and my (hidden) trainers are *Veja. 

Outfit 2: 

One thing I love about this look is that with a change of shoes, it can be styled for workwear or casual wear. The camel blazer is from *New Look, as is the bag. The trainers are again from Veja.

Outfit 3:

Again, this is another look which can be styled as workwear and casual wear with just a change of shoes. The jacket is one I have been living in this Autumn from Zara. The bag and the shoes are the same as previous outfits listed.

Outfit 4:

Now, this I feel is the perfect workwear outfit! The white shirt is from Object and it's honestly the best *white shirt (similar linked) I have ever owned! It's perfect for any occasion from casual to work to going out-out, I just love it! The shoes are from Next, and they're very similar to "the" Chanel flats that I've seen on Instagram and Pinterest. 

Outfit 5: 

I included this look in the 'Casual Looks I'll Be Wearing This Autumn & Winter' post and I just had to include it again because I love it so much! The cropped white jumper is from Zara but I bought it for a bargain of £4 from Vinted. I've also paired the black trousers with the standard *black Converses and the black mini tote bag is from New Look. 

Outfit 6: 

Roll-neck jumpers are jumpers I don't very often. I always feel wary when wearing one in case of any makeup staining the neck part of the jumper. I need to start wearing this one more often as it's so versatile! This jumper is from Pimkie which I bought through ASOS. Again I'm wearing black Converses and the New Look tote bag. 

Outfit 7: 

Last but not least, another casual look but with a *white cropped shirt instead. This one, for me, is good to wear for the start of the Spring. The cropped shirt is a little too cool to wear during the colder months! Once again, I've paired the black trousers with black Converses and the mini tote bag from New Look.
