Who is Berlook?
Berlook is a sustainable swimwear brand that uses 100% recyclable and sustainable fabrics to make their products. They have a wide range of swimwear in all different styles, patterns and sizes. They also sell activewear, coverups and clothing in a range of sizes.
How is Berlook sustainable?
The brand uses recycled materials certified by the Global Recycle Standard, allowing them to sustainably and ethically make their items. Berlook aims to further promote and better their sustainable practices (but they're already pretty good at them!). They also share the fabric composition of each garment they make and sell. This is a great feature of the brand, only a few brands share this much information on their garments.
Berlook is also a part of Stripe Climate, a coalition of businesses aiming to accelerate carbon removal to help climate change.
What are your thoughts on Berlook's items?
I chose two bikinis from Berlook. I did debate getting swimsuits, but I decided to be more adventurous and opt for these two gorgeous bikini sets instead!
The first bikini I chose was this coffee-coloured Ribbed Underwire Bikini. I love how flattering this is, it's such a lovely colour and the bikini bottoms fit perfectly. The bikini top fits nicely, but only just. As I'm big-chested, I would definitely size up next time. I love that it has removable padding and is underwired too, so it does give my boobs a lot more support! It also has adjustable straps and can be adjusted at the back too.
The second bikini I chose was this black and white Contrast Trim Underwire Bikini. I love the minimalist design and sleekness of this bikini. I love the white trim design on this bikini. Again, the bottoms fit perfectly and are very flattering for my shape. However, I wish I had chosen a bigger-sized top as this one was slightly too small, but that's my fault! Again, this bikini is padded, underwired and adjustable.
Would you recommend Berlook?
I would most definitely recommend Berlook if you're looking for new swimwear! I would love to buy some beach coverups and a swimsuit or two from them in the future. These bikinis are really comfortable and I love the feel of the material used to make them. I love Berlook's sustainable and ethical practices, this is a brand that really understands climate change and the effects clothing can have on our environment.
The quality of their items is amazing, I can see myself wearing these bikinis an awful lot over the Summer!
Price-wise, considering the sustainability of their items, the pricing is really reasonable compared to unsustainable brands!
I'd love to know your thoughts on Berlook, let me know which bikini you prefer!
