Since being in lockdown, I've being doing a hell of a lot of workouts that are on YouTube channels everyday, as well as going on my treadmill. One thing that I have loved about doing this though is that I have discovered new fitness videos. I now have a varied exercise routine right now which I'm loving right now. Being indoors has allowed me to discover more fitness channels on YouTube and try new workout videos I genuinely thought I couldn't do because I wasn't flexible enough too i.e. yoga. Yep, you should watch me do yoga sometime, it's a real treat. Perhaps I should put it on TikTok?

My Favourite YouTube Workout Channels |
One thing that you will learn is that your body is more capable than you think it is. When you start a workout and there is one move you automatically think can't do, try it anyway. Obviously don't injure yourself, I don't need no suing claims or summons thrown my way right now. It all takes practice and a belief that you can do it. It's the perfect time to find out what kind of workout suits you. To find out which one you'll enjoy the most and which one benefits your body the most.
With everything going on right now, one of my main aims was not only conquer the boredom, but to keep myself in good shape in terms of fitness. Before the C-word began, I exercised everyday anyway, but as I have more time on my hands, my workouts have increased in terms of time. I do a lot more and I make the most of the time I do have now.

My Favourite YouTube Workout Channels |
Like I said near the start of the post, I have discovered and found new YouTube channels and have explored new exercise videos to try out. Here are the ones I have used and am currently loving -
1) JOE WICKS
_________________
I've been doing Joe's workout sessions for such a long time now and I love them. I use Joe's workouts to get my cardio on and I can honestly say I'm knackered after doing one of his workouts. I even tried one of the school workouts he's been doing every morning for all the school kids stuck at home. Fuck me, I couldn't complete it, I struggled after 10/15 minutes. Well, in my defence, I have Cystic Fibrosis lungs, they're not exactly in pristine condition.
2) BLOGILATES
________________
First time I found Blogilates videos, I assumed it was a channel for all things Pilates. Well I'm here to tell you - it's not. Blogilates is a channel run by Cassey and she posts videos weekly from toning your arms, legs, tum to a little bit of cardio. One thing I love about Blogilates videos is that you don't need any workout equipment. For instance, the arm workouts don't require you to grab a set of dumbbells. It's surprising what exercises you can do for your arms that don't require weights. More often or not, these are the workouts that get your arms burning the most. Blogilates are great if you're looking to tone up and be ready for whenever we're allowed out again.
3) YOGA WITH ADRIENNE
_________________
Now, if you read near the start of this post, I mentioned about how crap I am at yoga. Well, I still am. I found Yoga by Adrienne when I came across one of her meditation videos. Her meditation videos are very calming and certainly allow me to find my quiet place and allow myself to be tranquil when I'm feeling worried or anxious. Her yoga videos are brilliant too, I try and do yoga a few days a week now, purely to get myself more flexible. I'm about as inflexible as a plank of wood and these videos by Adrienne are really helping me with becoming less inflexible. Hopefully by this time in July I'll be able to do the splits with ease and keep my legs straight in the air without looking like I'm giving birth.
4) CARLY ROWENA
_________________
I've been meaning to try Carly's fitness videos for a while. But you know when you get into a good exercise routine and you don't want to try anything else? Anyway, I thought I would give Carly's videos a try during isolation. I've fallen in love with her videos. She makes everything seem so simple but challenging at the same time. She adapts her videos to suit everyone of all abilities. I did a cardio workout of hers this morning and it's safe to say I loved it but left the room a sweaty mess! I'm really looking forward to trying more of Carly's workout videos over the next few weeks!
5) POPSUGAR
_________________
I used to PopSugar videos a very long time ago, when I first started taking exercise seriously. There's a hella lot of variety on their YouTube channel and also their website. I find that these videos are good for those who are mega fit and can run two marathons in a day. They're really good for getting your heart racing and feeling sweaty.
6) XHIT DAILY
________________
Another channel that contains a lot of varied workout videos, Xhit are great if you don't have much time to exercise. I sometimes do these videos after a day in work as they're quick and simple and can be done while you're tea is cooking. Kill two birds with one stone and all that.
Which workout videos do you do at home right now?
I've tried Yoga with Adriene and Joe Wicks workouts, which I both really enjoyed! It'll be good to vary what I'm doing though so I'll definitely be trying some of the others on this list, thank you!

I'm glad you've found this post helpful Hannah! Start with one channel then make your way through xx
DeleteI've only heard of a couple of these, but I have done a few of Joe Wick's workouts, they do end up killing me though haha, but I know the more I do it my body will get used to it. I can't even do a full push up yet though, still doing them from my knees! Great post!

Joe Wicks workouts always leave me lying on the floor afterwards! I still do my push ups from the knees! I can't do proper ones at all! xx
DeleteThank you so much for this! I don't typically do home workouts that often so when I do, I often stick to the same few people (which are getting a little boring after a month of nothing else). I've been looking for a few new ones recently. I love Carly's workouts. I didn't know that Popsugar had workouts! I'll have a little look at the ones I haven't tried before, thanks for the suggestions x

DeleteI really needed to read this post so thank you for sharing it! I've been doing the same homework out now the past few weeks and whilst I am still enjoying it, I think it would be good to switch it up and try something different so I don't get bored and then lose motivation. Will definitely check some of these out as I have heard of most of them before xx
