I finished this book before Christmas, so I apologise for the late review! After tucking into Dairy Milk chocolates, pigs in blankets and stuffing over the Christmas break, I've only had this chance to write my review of Elena Armas' latest book - 'The Fiance Dilemma'. This is the third Elena Armas book I've read, the first one, 'The Long Game' was one I adored reading. The second one I read by Elena Armas is 'The American Roommate Experiment' is one I loved also.

I've been meaning to read another Elena Armas book for months, so I was eager to read her latest release, The Fiance Dilemma.
Let's set the scene:
Based in Green Oak like in 'The Long Game', instead of focusing on Adalyn and Cameron, the story focuses on Adalyn's newfound sister, Josie Moore. Josie is the mayor of Green Oak and has given love plenty of chances. Well, four exactly, if you include the failed engagements. Recently, her father, Andrew Underwood, has announced his retirement and has done this by announcing it via a magazine piece, which means Josie has become a PR issue.
During a messy misunderstanding, Josie inadvertently makes Bobbi Shark, her father's PR Manager, believe that Adalyn's best friend, Matthew Flanagan, is her fiance. What starts as confusion ends with an arrangement where Josie and Matthew become "engaged". The deal is that it means nothing and after they get married, they get an annulment.
But as Josie and Matthew get closer, will their arrangement work out?
What I liked about 'The Fiance Dilemma'
I like that it's set in Green Oak like in 'The Long Game'. It was also great to have Adalyn and Cameron back, but this time as side characters. The town is a typical village-type town, everyone knows everybody else's business and there's that real community feel within the town too.
I loved the two main protagonists, Josie and Matthew. They're relatable and likeable and I loved their development throughout the book.
I also loved there was no real drama e.g. no breakups, arguments, deceit etc.
What I disliked about 'The Fiance Dilemma'
I like a slow-burn romance, but this felt a little too much of a slow-burn for me. But I would only say that's the only criticism, I pretty much loved the book!
The only characters I didn't like were Bobbi Shark, Duncan (one of Josie's exes, thankfully only in it for 1-2 pages) and Josie's father Andrew. You can see Andrew was trying hard to establish a relationship with his daughter, but it just didn't work.
My favourite moment of the book
I wouldn't say I have a favourite moment, but I loved the development of Josie and Matthew's relationship.
Would I recommend 'The Fiance Dilemma' by Elena Armas?
Yes, I would! I stated in the 'The Long Game' and 'The American Roommate Experiment' review that I love Elena Armas' writing style and I'm eager to read 'The Spanish Deception' - it's one that's going on my TBR list for this year!
All in all, this is a lovely, heartwarming read and perfect to read while cwtched up in bed!
