WISKII: A Review of the Retro Athleisure Brand

When it comes to style, comfort and chic are key elements to how I dress and what I choose to buy. Whether I'm running errands or sitting at home writing, I want to look chic but also feel comfortable and confident in my outfit. I'm always searching for brands that can offer me this - and that's where WISKII come in.

Who is WISKII?

WISKII is an elevated *athleisure brand that are complete fitness fanatics. They sell clothing ranges for those who love practising yoga, playing tennis and for anyone who just loves athleisure wear (like I do). The brand is famed for its scalloped design on the leggings' waistband and its sports bras. It's a standout feature that I definitely associate with the brand and its identity. 

WISKII's activewear is perfect not only for going to the gym, but also for everyday wear. 

Let me tell you about the products I have from WISKII

WISKII kindly allowed me to choose an outfit for myself to try! After much deliberating (purely because I loved everything and had to limit my choice to two items!), I chose the Retro V-Neck Sweatshirt in Black and the V-Waist yoga leggings.

The *Retro V-Neck Sweatshirt comes in two other colours, Articice (a light blue) and Muted Khaki. The sweatshirt has a retro logo on the front and a bigger logo on the back. The inside of the sweater is practically thermal, it's sure to keep me warm on colder days! The sweater feels like an oversized fit, but it's not too baggy. This sweatshirt provides that cosy and chic factor. I wouldn't wear this in the warmer months because, as I said, it's practically furry on the inside. I'd definitely get heatstroke if I did. But if you're looking for a sweatshirt for the colder months, this one is perfect to say the least.

The *V-Waist leggings come in a wide range of colours. When I say that they're the most comfortable leggings I've ever owned, I'm being very serious. If you wear leggings, particularly athleisure leggings, a lot, you know that feeling when you need to hoick your leggings up after they've decided to roll down beneath your belly. Yep, it's annoying. Not great to do when I'm out in public. But honestly, when I've worn these leggings all day, I've never had to pull them up once. Not even a little. The waistband stays where it's supposed to throughout the day. For me, that's a huge 10/10!

Now that I've told you about the products, let's discuss the main factors you want to know about:

Sizing

I would always recommend anyone buying from a brand they haven't bought from before do body measurements. I followed WISKII's size guide, and the measurements I had made compared to the size guide on their website were pretty accurate. WISKII told me themselves that their sizes run slightly smaller than usual, so double-check those measurements (particularly for their leggings and sports bras) before choosing the right size. 

There is a comparison chart of their lettered sizing against your country's sizing guide, so it's easy for you to find the right size. The leggings fit me perfectly and do not feel tight on the waist. The sweater is slightly oversized, but that's not an issue for me as it feels cosier to wear!

You can easily email WISKII or chat online if you're really unsure of what size to buy. Provide them with your height, weight and body measurements, and they'll help determine which size is best for you.

Pricing

This brand is quite high-end in terms of pricing. The lowest-priced item is $19, and the highest is $309. Their leggings and sports bra are within the range of $60-80. All items are in US dollars. It's a slight investment, but I can promise their items are of amazing quality. Speaking of quality...

Quality

Honestly, the quality is second to none. I love the unique, retro theme they have going on with their items. It's chic and stylish, perfect for everyday wear. For your money, you would get high-quality pieces that will last a long time. I've put my items through a few washes now, and they still look as great as they did when I opened the packaging.

Packaging

The lovely yellow box that the items came in was recyclable. However, the items came in plastic bags. I cannot remember for the life of me if they were recyclable or not. If not, that's the only downside of the packaging side of things.

Delivery/returns

The brand offers FREE worldwide shipping for orders of $150. WISKII has a shipping page for you to see your country's shipping time. 

Regarding returns, it's free for US customers. However,  for international returns, you can pick your own courier, but a $3.99 restocking fee per item will be taken off your refund. According to WISKII, refunds take around 10 working days to process once they've received your return.

I can't vouch for how simple the returns process is, as I didn't have to make a return for either of my items.

Payment options

WISKII offers a wide range of payment options, including pay-later options.

Overall opinion

I would absolutely love to purchase from WISKII in the future. As I said, their items are of high-quality. I have not stopped wearing this outfit since I received it. If you love retro activewear that you can wear every day, this brand is for you. I adore the design of each item, and the scalloped hemline of their leggings and sports bra is what makes this brand stand out. 

The items do cost a bit of money, but it doesn't sacrifice the quality you would receive. I like that the brand offers a wide range of payment options. As I said, I can't tell you if the returns process is easy or plain-sailing or not, but I hope it is!

WISKII is a brand I would recommend to anyone who is looking to elevate their activewear!
