Xlash Eyelash Serum: A Review

Lately, I think I have been focusing so much on the other parts of my face in terms of care, that I neglected one part that needed a little TLC - my eyelashes. 

Not to blow my own trumpet, but I used to have long lashes growing up, with even teachers and the dinner ladies commenting on how long they were! However, as I have gotten older, they're not as long and are in need of a little love and care. 

I discovered Xlash from following one of my favourite Instagram creators, Kate Hutchins on Instagram as the results she's had from her using Xlash eyelash serum have been unreal. I thought it would be the perfect serum for me to try in the vain hope of saving and taking care of the eyelashes that are still with me.

So, does the Xlash eyelash serum REALLY work? Before I get into that, here's some questions you may have about the Xlash serum:

1) WHO  ARE  XLASH?

Xlash are a cosmetics company which sell products for the eyes such as eyelash and eyebrow serums, also mascaras and brow kits.

2) ARE  XLASH  CF  AND / OR  VEGAN?

They have not and do not test their products on animals. Xlash use natural plant extracts and other safe ingredients to make sure it's safe to use on the eyes. Safety first people, safety first!

3) HOW  DOES  XLASH  WORK?

The Xlash serum works by prolonging the growth cycle of the lashes and stimulating the hair follicles to allow the eyelashes to grow thicker, longer and darker.

4) HOW  DO  I  USE  XLASH  EYELASH  SERUM?

This product is designed for daily use at night (if you're like me and forget, set an alarm!). Before applying the serum, make sure you remove all makeup and/or if you're a contact lens wearer (like myself) , remove them before applying. Using the applicator brush, stroke the brush along the upper eyelash line. You do NOT need to apply it on the lower lash line. Allow time to absorb, it does say on the box apply one hour before bedtime. That gives it a chance to absorb and it can do its magic overnight! Also it's better to apply at night when you have all your makeup off and your eyes are clean and moisturised. 

5) HOW  LONG  DOES  A  TUBE  OF  THE  XLASH  SERUM  LAST  FOR?

It says that it will last 2/3 months. But I can imagine I can make it last a lot longer than that. 

6) WHEN  WILL  I  START  TO  SEE  RESULTS?

You will (hopefully) start to see results in 28 days. But it's important to keep using it regularly after 28 days to continue to see and regain the best results. See the photo below of the before and after photos from when I've used it, and after I applied mascara. 

7) WHERE  CAN  I  BUY  XLASH  PRODUCTS  AND  HOW  MUCH  DOES  IT  COST?

8) WOULD  YOU  RECOMMEND  THE  XLASH  EYELASH  SERUM?

Basing this on the results I have seen so far, I would recommend it! Obviously, it's not a cheap investment and I did take a risk because of the price tag, but from what I've seen so far and how my lashes look now after a month of using the serum, it's been worth the money so far. And the fact that my lashes can still potentially grow thicker and longer the more I use it, makes me excited at the prospect at how lovely my lashes will look! Looking at the photos above of the before and after, you can see that it doesn't show too much growth. But you can definitely see the difference after mascara was applied. I feel there is no need to buy any fake lashes (even though I don't wear them cause I hate them!)

Before ending this post, I should state that I have not been asked by Xlash to write this post nor have I been sent this serum to try, I bought this with my money as I have seen others have amazing results from using it and I thought it was worth a try!
