When it comes to your bed, you want optimum comfort. From the mattress you sleep on to the duvet you throw over you, we all want the best sleeping environment to have the best night's sleep. After replacing my old mattress and pillows in the last 12 months, the next thing on my list was a new duvet. It's like Simba knew, as they contacted me about trying their Hybrid Duvet.
Let me tell you more about Simba:
Simba is a UK brand that specialises in everything related to sleep. From beds, mattresses, and duvets to pillows and mattress toppers, Simba's products are data-driven designed and continuously tested to further improve their mattresses and other products.
Let me tell you more about the Simba Hybrid Duvet:
The Simba Hybrid Duvet is a lightweight duvet designed for year-round use. With a 10.5 tog, it guarantees to keep you warm in Winter and cool in Summer. The duvet is made up of three layers:
Layer 1: Cotton cover with Stratos 'Cool-Tech' tech
This particular layer offers instant and continuous cooling through the night. The thermoregulating tech on one side of the Hybrid Duvet is a world first. It's up to 3 degrees centigrade cooler than non-treated fabric. This means it's cool to the touch, prevents heat buildup and evaporates moisture - keeping you feeling cooler and more comfortable during the night.
Layer 2: Super soft Simba Renew Bio Fibres
This layer provides a soothing warmth while allowing the air to flow freely through the duvet. Made of recycled PET bottles, it's designed to allow plenty of airflow through the duvet for drier warmth. The only problem with a warm duvet is that you'll never want to get out of bed, especially on those cold mornings!
Layer 3: Cotton Base Cover
This fresh cotton layer is designed to support breathability and comfort.
Simba's Hybrid Duvet is a clump-free alternative to your current duvet. The Hybrid Duvet is stitched into squares to prevent clumping. Believe me, when you're an adult, a clump-free duvet is a godsend as it makes bed-making a lot less tiresome.
Another great aspect of this duvet is that it's machine washable. If you're washing machine is big enough, that is. So, double-check first. If you do need to wash it, this duvet tends to dry more quickly due to its lightness of the fill fibres. You'll need to wash the duvet on a 40-degree cycle and use a mild detergent. If needed, you can tumble dry on a low heat. But do not iron or dry clean it.
Also, there's a QR code label on the duvet for access to recycling and care advice. There's also an additional label on the foot end of the duvet so you know which way round it goes.
Let me share my thoughts on the Simba Hybrid Duvet:
The duvet is of amazing quality! The amount of work and technology that has gone into making this duvet is second to none. It keeps you warm without feeling like you're roasting. I can't vouch if it'll keep me cool in the Summer yet, as Summer is currently a distant memory! But I'll let you know when the warm weather returns again. The cotton feels cool to the touch and has a lovely smoothness about it.
I love how this duvet is clump-free, as I stated earlier, it makes making the bed a less tedious and tiring chore.
I'm not entirely sure if this duvet would fit into my washing machine; that's something I will have to try at a later date.
This duvet comes in a recyclable carry bag, which will be great if you're moving house, you can just fold it away and carry it with you! Whether you'll get it back in the bag is another matter, but the bag is a great idea!
Overall, I'm really pleased with the Simba Hybrid Duvet and would recommend this duvet to anyone!
