Tea Solves Everything

Isn't there any situation that doesn't require a cup of tea?! Honestly, it's true, whenever and whatever the life crisis is, a cup of tea seems to solve everything. Whether it's Herbal, Green tea, Earl Grey or classic PG Tips, drinking a mug of this fluid seems to make the world a better place again. There literally isn't one single problem which can't be solved over a cup of tea. It's become a national institution that we find comfort in a brew.

Drinking tea seems to be the norm, it's something we do automatically everyday. You stagger downstairs at 6:30am in the morning, put on the kettle and watch Good Morning Britain and get pissed off by Piers Morgan. Or you're the one who has to make Sandra (remember Sandra?) that cup of tea in the office so she can dip all her digestives into. Maybe you're like Anthony from the Royle Family and you have to make a brew for EVERYONE in your family as they're too lazy to do so!

I know a cuppa is one of my go to's when I am feeling stressed and it's one of my favourite things to drink during the day. I drink it at home when I'm writing, in the evening when I'm winding down and first thing in the morning to help wake me up. Would I say it's an addiction? Possibly. I know plenty of people who can't go a whole day with sipping a decent brew. Like I said before, sticking the kettle on solves our solutions.

I need to tell you something, I've never been a fan of tea! Well, not until about three years ago when one of my friends introduced to green tea, something which I now drink on a daily basis. A lot of people say to me, "That's like drinking muddy water isn't it?!". I have to questions people's morals when, for example, someone kindly offers to make me a green tea and then they say "Do you take milk with that?" or "How many sugars?" Nope Sandra, just leave the tea bag in (it keeps the taste strong). Green tea is an acquired taste, it's like Marmite, you either love or hate it.

Tea Solves Everything

I'm always looking for new branded green teas to try, I'm determined to try as many as I can!

When Adagio got in touch with me to try out some of their range of teas, I went into heart eyes emoji mode and I waited with anticipated breath at what teas I was going to be sent. When the parcel came in the post, it was mahoosive - I had literally been sent a lifetime's supply of tea! From herbal to oolong and also sweet teas, the variety was endless! The package also came with an infuser mug and also paper tea filters, which are biodegradable, which is great sustainability on their part, after all, we all have to do our bit for the planet! Also the filters have no taste to them, which won't compromise the taste of the tea, which also gets a double thumbs up from me!

I'm like any other blogger, I always feel wary when being sent new products, what if I don't like them? What if I don't buy into the hype? Thank the Lord that Adagio teas aren't part of those exceptions I had feared beforehand. I would highly recommend their teas, just for the eclectic range of teas they make.

So back to the title of the post, does tea solve everything? YAS. I would love to meet a person who doesn't think a breakup, a flat tyre or broken phone can't be deciphered over a strong brew.

Do you rely on tea to solve your life problems?!

  1. You definitely can't beat a good cup of tea! I don't mind green tea, but I absolutely love a good strong cup of Yorkshire tea 😂
I can't believe how much tea they sent! That will keep you going for a few days 😉😄
If you are a fan of flavour tea, Lipton do a yummy caramel tea; although I have only ever seen it when I have been on holiday in Greece.

  6. I love a good cuppa but I'm definitely a nice and strong, dash of milk kinda gal! Although I do like a berry-flavour too - and often have to rely on teas that don't require milk when I'm traveling

  9. I'm more of a believer that a mug of coffee solves everything ;) but then I wasn't introduced to anything beyond Kenyan Black Tea until I was firmly in adulthood when I discovered fruity white teas, then fruity green teas and at a push I'll take a fruity oolong.

I often feel like I'm not really British because I don't have that love of tea :-O

  10. I gotta admit, I've always struggled to enjoy herbal or fruity tea. I love your bog standard builders tea, with milk (soy) and 2 sugar but anything else... eeek. But I'm always willing to try more brands / flavours! But you're so right... tea does make everything that little bit better.
