We have made it through the most miserable month of the year! Personally, I'm not a fan of January. I just feel downbeat and flat for most of it. It takes a lot to make me smile during January. But I have had a few things to smile this month!

Has there been a weekend? Like seriously? The days have felt like this - Friday - blur - Monday. In work the kids carried out a heart rate experiment during P.E. I was almost tempted to join in with the star jumps but I don't think it would have looked good coughing up a load of phlegm in front of them! The only thing that has kept me going in work today is knowing Liverpool are playing tonight.
*Update - lost 2-1 to Swansea. Bugger.

I love getting up on a Monday morning (wait a minute!) when Liverpool have won on the weekend. It makes my first day back at work after the weekend a whole lot easier! But helping the children paint historical Tudor figures to scale was all but fun, well for the kids it was, but not for me after having to clean the paint palettes afterwards! But getting emails saying my order were ready to be picked up for New Look certainly brightened the end of my day. But me being me, this happened...

21 Things You Shouldn't Say To A Person With CF

This is my first CF-related post in a long time! This post doesn't need too much of an introduction.
In my life, trying to explain what Cystic Fibrosis is to someone I barely know is hard enough, but when they say one of these following things to you, it makes you want to give up and walk away, only you can't, at the end of the day you don't want them making assumptions or just guessing what it is. Here are some of things you shouldn't say to someone who has CF like myself:

Lookbook: Pink Jumper

I've said this before, I'm always wanting to buy jumpers. I seem to be slightly obsessed with searching for jumpers or anything that will keep my arms and chest remotely warm. This winter I have been determined to stock up on jumpers, I don’t fancy wanting to wear my work jumpers on the weekend! So I was scrolling through ASOS and I found this cute and simple blush pink jumper which was £8 in the sale.

Non Lazy Days

I'm writing this on a Sunday morning lying on my bed, with a cup of Pukka detox tea on my bedside table. Notice how I say 'lying on my bed' and not 'lying in my bed'?

Some people's ideas of a Sunday morning is lounging about their pyjamas with a cuppa in their bed, under the duvet then getting up when the waft of roast beef and gravy ascends upstairs and makes you jump out of bed to go and eat your roast dinner. For me, that's not an ideal Sunday morning. I'm probably one of only a few people who doesn't like staying in their pyjamas all day. To me, I just feel really dirty and unclean, I feel like I haven't had a bath in days if I stay in my 'Dreamer' pyjamas from Asda.

My god getting up at 6am was bloody hard today. Well, waking up after 8:30am for the last two weeks, it was always going to be a struggle. But it was lovely to see the people I work. After saying "Happy New Year" and "Did you have a nice Christmas?" god knows how many times, it was time to greet the kids and ask them all about their Christmases. Remember the days when we used to ask for a bike, the newest Barbie or, for me, a Jacqueline Wilson book? Nowadays it's an IPhone, tablet or Fitbit. How times have changed.

Lookbook: Slim Leg Trousers

I haven't done a Lookbook post for well over a month now! I do apologise!

It's hard to do these posts all the time as I can't keep buying new clothes, my wardrobes are holding more than they care to. Plus there's the money side of things, if there was a money tree at the bottom of my garden my wardrobe would be full of Chanel and Christian Louboutin heels.

Anyway...

I did buy these lovely slim leg trousers from Peacocks (similar) just before Christmas. I'd been looking for some slim leg trousers for a while and these were just perfect. Before I'd spotted this while popping into Peacocks on the off chance, I'd seen pairs in other high street stores with a £30-£40 price tag on slim leg trousers I liked. Now, I know I do love to spend some money on clothes, but I love a bargain like the next person. I knew I could probably find a pair somewhere a little less expensive. That's why it's always important to shop and look around.

Will I keep up this series for an entire YEAR?

Time will soon tell, but it'll be good to see if I can keep it up for the next 52 weeks of the year.

I'm like looking back on memories and old times, that's why Timehop is one of my favourite apps, I know it only shows social media tweets and pictures, but it's still a reminder of things you've said and memories you've made. It'll be interesting for me to view this at the end of the year as kind of a nostalgic recap of my 2018.

My Choices for Winter Getaways

We wouldn't be British if we didn't moan and whine about how cold it is every 5 minutes.

With all this ice cold Arctic weather we've been having lately, it's no surprise to see people on my social media timelines pining and yearning to jump on an aeroplane and fly somewhere away from the UK. We all want to be lazing around on a hammock, surrounded by palm trees, overlooking the white sandy beaches with the sound of the waves in the background.
This got me pondering about the places I'd love to visit at this time of year. For me, it doesn't necessarily have to be a boiling hot destination, it can be somewhere where it is just as cold as it has been here. For me, it's about exploring and experiencing other country's cultures and values.
Here are my top picks for a winter getaway:

My goals for 2018

Let me start by saying Happy New Year to you all! It's page 1 of our 365 page story entitled 'My 2018'.
I'm sure there are many of you having made their resolutions are starting to regret making them. Never make a resolution when you have 3 bottles of wine and 2 bottles of vodka inside of you!

Would I say I got New Year's resolutions?
